Residing in Moscow, Koltsov was born in 1988 and has been playing darts since 2011. He started his professional career in the British Darts Organisation and reached the semi-finals of the WDF Europe Cup. Having reached the last 16 of the Romanian Open in the same year, Koltsov made the move to the Professional Darts Corporation in 2015 and won the Russian Qualifying Event for the 2015 PDC World Championship, sealing a place in the finals.

Koltsov has represented his country several times in the World Cup of Darts and in 2017, he reached the quarter final stage of the competition with his partner, Aleksandr Oreshkin. Their results included an impressive victory over Australia before losing to the strong Welsh duo of Gerwyn Price and Mark Webster.

Moving back to the PDC World Championship and Boris has made four appearances in the event to date. He also played in the 2020 UK Open, one of the biggest tournaments on the PDC Tour.

In terms of tournament victories, Boris Koltsov has an impressive CV including the EADC Pro Tour, Finnish Open, Kalashnikov Cup, PDC Challenge Tour England, WDF World Cup Pairs, and Russian Cup.

Boris is a player with huge potential, at Shot we are thrilled to add him to our pro player team and look forward to creating a dart that will enhance his performance.

When did you start playing darts? How did you get into darts?

My father introduced me to play darts in 1995, I was playing basketball then but by 2010 I was hooked and now I'm here.
