Puma Darts Tournament Bristle Dartboard
This picture was emailed into us by Adrian of a 1980's "Puma Tournament Bristle Dartboard'. This one being a well used and very well looked after dartboard lasting for well over 20 years!!
The Puma Tournament Bristle Dartboard was one of the very early round wire dartboards. It had a thinner wire that was changed in the 80's.

Puma produces top of the line products. I have recently had the pleasure to try a few of their darts cases out. What is intriguing about these are that they have a style of case for all sorts of players and individuals. There are 2 cases that have really caught my attention. I have 1 case that fits directly into your pocket. You slip your darts into the top of the case and can either clip to your pants, your belt your shirt pocket...or just fits directly into your pocket. There isn't much storage for your darts accessories, but this case is extremely convenient to have inside the darts venue.
Finger case
Another case I have been using is a silver box like case. although some players may feel this case is inconvenient to be carrying around at a darts tournament, it definitely has its perks. The case has 8 slips for darts flights, a pocket that can hold about 15 sets of shafts in it and 3 small bands to hold a set of darts.....without a doubt this case is capable of holding much more in it if displayed correctly. If you don't mind carrying around a case during a darts tournament, this for sure, is the ultimate darts carrying case to have.

Grip Points - I have received are exceptional. If your like me and have a finger on the point, this characteristic is fantastic to have. If you have soft tip points and need
conversion points Puma has designs a point that has a larger collar and is capable of being finger tightened on...no tool is necessary.
100% polyester...you cant ask for anything better then that. many other shirts I've worn , when it gets really hot, will stick to me or seem to become tight. Puma has this shirt that is THE high brid of shirts allowing you to have a loose fit, comfortable throw without having your shirt stick to your skin. if you ask me, a rating 1-10, 1 being horrible and 10 being a shirt that I don't even want to take off......I give it an 11.... I have had the opportunity to test the red and the black surround.
During the course or the time I have had the surrounds, the feedback from most players as far as popularity goes, is that the red surround lends a helping hand to the lighting available, whereas the black surround tends to give the mindset of shadowing.
The concept of the surround is very useful. I find when going way to tournaments, that the surround helps as a protector when I have a practice board up in my motel room (very convenient and keeps the motel owners happy). The surrounds ability to sit nice and snug around the board does away with the need for a fully enclosed case, which is handy when fitting dart boards straight to a hard wall surface like in the dart room I have just built at home."... Since I have my dartboard in the garage, I needed something to protect my darts from the rare bounce outs I get from my Bandit Plus board and the PUMA dart mat is perfect. Not only does it protect my darts, it includes the toe line for both soft tip and steel tip which is great since I play both games regularly. Also, the heavy duty dart mat lies on the floor without curling up. Finally, the mat is easy on the feet for those long practice sessions! ..... Chris White

The Bandit Plus is the most innovative dartboard in years - the sleek design not only looks good, but plays like no other board. The thin wires and perfectly compressed sisal prevents bounce-outs; yet holds the dart in the board regardless of the point type used. The mounting bracket and puck on the back of the board hold the board firmly while allowing easy rotation. Personally the Puma dart shirt is an ideal shirt to play in. They look amazing, they are a perfect fit. There is plenty of room, so it is not too tight, which gives you plenty of movement. The material is great, as the shirt is nice and cool to play in, so you don't get too hot when playing, which is what I like. The Puma shirt is also quick drying so if you need to wash it for the next day, it will dry overnight. Great material!! I would personally recommend this shirt to anyone. It is a great shirt to play darts in.
