For over 40 years Puma Darts have been proud to be a leading global developer producer and marketer of darts, dartboards and darting equipment. We are based in New Zealand at our own manufacturing facility. We also have manufacturing facilities in China and Taiwan we  work closely with, which allows us to be a comprehensive supplier to the world dart market in both soft and steel tip darts.   Puma Darts has a goal and commitment to offer its customers a full range of innovative darts and darting equipment made to the highest standard, and supplied with service and backup second to none. This approach has seen us as major sponsor of major tournaments around the globe. We export around the world and are always looking to develop new markets. Our products are the choice of many of the worlds top dart players. This is reflected in our Bandit boards use in the prestigious World Cup of Darts, which Puma Darts have sponsored  1999- 2011, and the granting of official status for Puma Dart products, by national dart associations around the world. Puma Darts was founded in 1970 by John McCormick, his knowledge has been passed onto his son Peter McCormick. Upon John’s death in 2003, Peter assumed the position of Managing Director and Patron of the NZ Darts Council. Julie Carlson, John’s daughter joined the business as Marketing Director at that time. Puma Darts is still family owned.

Our Location

Puma Darts factory and head office is situated in Katikati, approximately 2 hours drive South East  from Auckland in the Bay of Plenty.   Katikati is known as a horticultural area where its main crops are Kiwifruit and Avocados. However it is also known as the mural town – as the town features many murals portraying the stories of this area. Katikati is also growing as a niche-manufacturing hub.

Being an innovation led company, we developed the now famous Bandit bristle dartboard, which we believe to be the world’s finest bristle board. We have since developed our Bandit Plus board which delivers on performance and style with new features and environmental considerations. Our attention to quality has lead to our Bandit boards being officially recognised  for Tournament and competition play by the World Dart Federation.

Our success has been recognised by the New Zealand Government with a Global Export  Commendation Award and our manufacturing facility has obtained ISO 9000: 2000 Quality Accreditation. In the process, a unique business culture has emerged that drives our employees to perform their absolute best.

From your initial design/concept of your darts, dartboards our team of engineers and designers can take your product from the concept design stage through to fully packaged ready to ship and because we have been in the business for over 40 years we guarantee professionalism, quality and accuracy.

Our main point of difference is that we have our own plant and team of designers and engineers on site which enable us to develop product to a customer’s unique requirements whether it be design, sampling, small runs etc for both darts and dartboards.

All Shot! dartboards and darts are made in New Zealand and features their own designs of distinctive dart flights and packaging. Shot! is probably the fastest growing dart brand in the market today.
